PROBOSCIS MONKEY TOUR

Proboscis monkey only can be found in Borneo Island. In Brunei proboscis monkey can be found not far from Kampung Ayer along the Brunei Bay. Proboscis monkey is known as the largest monkey in the world. They have bigger nose and bigger body. Female and male have different size of body. They are two times powerful than human but there is no record yet they are attacking human.

 Their majority of life is about 8 years. The new born baby had their breast feeding for 4 years. Young baby was born black fur and blue face different with the adult one. They lived in grouping life. Proboscis Monkey can be found in 10-15minutes but if you're lucky probably proboscis monkey can be easily found along the mangrove trees.

They lived in mangrove and do not eat bananas. Usually Proboscis monkey eat mangrove leaves. They also like human who careful with what to eat. They only eat leaves that have clean and perfect leaves. If the leaves eaten by the caterpillar they will not dare to touch it. Because of stressful life and food, the male proboscis monkey are not many compare to female proboscis monkey.

Along this proboscis monkey tour, wild life can be seen also, such as crocodiles, snakes, monkeys and  monitor lizard.

The cost on this tour only $10.00 dollar using the water taxi near the Yayasan Jetty.

There are several safety that need to be follow:

• Use life jacket before entering the water taxi
• Not allowed to put hand in the water
• Do not shout towards the monkey
